ELECTIONS

Fall 2026 Election for New Board Member

The MLMS Board of Directors currently has 8 members. We will be holding an election this fall to add a ninth board member to serve a three-year term starting in February 2027. 

Applicants must be (or become) an MLMS member, and must have a background in lake management or water resource management, as demonstrated through education or professional experience.

Additional Election Details

  • Application must be submitted by 5:00 pm CDT on November 11, 2026
  • Current MLMS Board of Directors will review all applications and select final candidates based upon qualifications, geographic location, and affiliation.
  • Online voting by members will be held from December 15 through January 15, 2027
  • Election results will be tallied and approved by the Board of Directors on January 20, 2027
  • Candidates will be informed of results after the January 20th board meeting
  • Election results will be announced at the Annual Symposium on February 9, 2027
  • The term is three years and starts at the first Board meeting after the Annual Symposium
